New York workers' comp calculator
New York pays two-thirds of your average weekly wage while you cannot work. For injuries between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027 the Workers' Compensation Board set the maximum at $1,281.50 a week. The minimum is now tied to one-fifth of the state average weekly wage, which makes it $384.45, or your actual wage if that is lower.
The first seven days are unpaid unless the disability goes past 14 days. If you return to work at lower pay, the board can award two-thirds of the difference between your old and new wages. The calculator handles both cases.
